Weight loss success is not just reducing your weight. Success means keeping the weight off permanently. Our ability to help you maintain your weight loss is what we at The Institute for Weight Management are most proud of. As part of your program we offer weekly behavioral sessions that provide you with the tools to keep your weight under control for life.



Is Attending a Maintenance Program Important?

When we say we offer a serious solution we mean it. Long-term success for most weight loss programs is terrible. The unfortunate truth is that most diets result in people not only gaining all of their weight back, but gaining more on top of that.

In a national study of over 600 OPTIFAST program graduates, 50 % maintained most of their weight loss after 2 years and 75% had maintained at least some of their weight loss. One group in the study maintained a 58 pound weight loss after 2 years, and 51 pounds at the 5 year mark after taking part in an 18 week program. The OPTIFAST program has a significant success rate compared to other weight loss programs and much of it is due to regularly attending maintenance programs.

Attend at No Charge

Your success is so important to us that once you have completed your program there is no longer a charge for attending our group behavior sessions. regular attendance of these sessions will allow you to continue to use OPTIFAST® in your daily food intake if you wish. You will also be able to attend weekly weigh-ins to keep accurate track of your weight and have access to our medical staff if you have any weight-related problems.
